Welcome to this short online module on public speaking. Even if many young people approach the topic and, of course, occasions of speaking to a public with a high level of fear, we will try to make public speaking a less frightening event and learn about it together, in this module.
The good news is that public speaking is a skill and, as any other skills, it is learnable. Some people will tend to be better at it than others because of a certain level of charisma or secret capacity of “being liked” while others may struggle with shyness or less self-confidence. But we can make you the promise that the more you do it, the better you will get at it.
Take a few moments to remember the various occasions of public speaking you may have witnessed, in real life or on TV, or the internet. Please write in the comment box below a few examples.
